Our first week, Destination, invited campers to travel the world through exciting experiences inspired by different countries and cultures. From music, science experiments, sports, and creative games to hands-on activities, every day was an opportunity to explore, discover, and make new friends.

Their years here have shaped lifelong friendships, meaningful experiences, and the values that will guide them as they begin their high school journey. A new chapter begins for the IAB Cumbres 5th Grade Class of 2026 as they complete the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and look ahead to the Middle Years Programme (MYP). Through years of inquiry, collaboration, and meaningful learning, they have built the knowledge, confidence, and skills to embrace what comes next. Our 9th Grade Farewell was a morning of memories, heartfelt goodbyes, and celebration. Surrounded by their families and cheered on by students and staff lining the hallways, our 9th graders walked through the halls of IAB Cumbres one last time, reflecting on the journey that has shaped them into who they are today.

This year, we introduced Sowing Gratitude, a special ceremony that marks the beginning of a meaningful new tradition for our 9th graders and their families. During this heartfelt moment, students expressed their gratitude to their parents, recognizing the love, support, sacrifices, and guidance that have shaped their journey.

Students from the Madison Group of Schools came together for two days filled with competition, energy, and school spirit, representing their teams across every match in both soccer and basketball.

On June 11, the excitement of the FIFA World Cup filled every corner of IAB Cumbres as we celebrated the opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
From our youngest learners in Nursery enjoying World Cup-inspired classroom activities to students proudly wearing La Verde and enthusiastically trading World Cup stickers, the passion for soccer and the pride of being Mexican were felt throughout the entire school. It was a day full of energy, teamwork, and unforgettable World Cup spirit. ¡Vamos México!

On June 3, our 7th Grade students visited Papalote Museo del Niño, where they explored interactive exhibits, discovered new ideas, and strengthened their learning through hands-on experiences. The visit encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration, making learning come alive beyond the classroom.

Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade students proudly concluded their final Unit of Inquiry by inviting their families to discover the knowledge, skills, and understandings they developed throughout the unit. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their curiosity, critical thinking, and the meaningful learning that takes place through inquiry every day at IAB Cumbres.
Kinder 2 students concluded their final Unit of Inquiry, "The Big 4," by welcoming their families to discover all they learned about the four elements—earth, water, air, and fire. Through engaging experiences and meaningful inquiry, our young learners proudly shared their knowledge, curiosity, and discoveries, celebrating the end of another exciting learning journey.

Last week, IAB Cumbres proudly hosted the first edition of IABCMUN, bringing together students for a day of diplomacy, collaboration, critical thinking, and meaningful debate. This milestone event provided delegates with the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, broaden their global perspectives, and engage in constructive dialogue on important international issues.
