Last Thursday at IABC, we commemorated International Women’s Day as a community. Students and staff wore purple to recognize the strength, resilience, and contributions of women around the world.
It was a special opportunity to inspire our students to continue building a future rooted in respect, equality, and empowerment.

In February, our IAB Cumbres Volleyball Team achieved an outstanding result, earning 2nd place in the Student Volleyball League in the 2014–2015 Girls Category.
Throughout the tournament, our players demonstrated great teamwork, dedication, and perseverance on the court, proudly representing IAB Cumbres. We congratulate each of our athletes for their effort and commitment.

Last week, our K1 students celebrated the closure of their Unit of Inquiry, “Staying Alive.” Parents and families joined us in the classrooms to see what our young learners had been inquiring about and to hear them proudly share their discoveries about how living things grow and what we need to stay healthy.

Each student guided their families through their goals, projects, progress, and areas of improvement. Through portfolios and thoughtful conversations, they reflected on their efforts, recognized their growth, and set intentions for what comes next.
These conferences are a meaningful opportunity for students to build confidence, take ownership of their learning, and proudly showcase their progress to their parents.

Our 3rd grade students led a special commemoration of Mexican Soldier Day with a beautiful representation and poem. They also honored Mexican Flag Day with pride and respect, and celebrated Valentine’s Day by dedicating a lovely song to their families.
A special thank you to First Captain Pablo Radilla from the Mexican Army, who shared touching and inspiring words with our students. His message moved us and reminded us of the importance of loyalty, dedication, love for our country, strong values, and becoming excellent citizens.
We also enjoyed Kinder 3’s assembly, where our youngest students celebrated Valentine’s Day with beautiful songs that filled the room with joy and love.

On Wednesday, our 8th and 9th grade students visited MARCO to explore the artistic proposal of Teresa Margolles and understand how art can make social issues visible and spark meaningful reflection. Through observation, dialogue, and interpretation, they strengthened their critical thinking and discovered art as a powerful tool to understand the world.

Last Friday, we celebrated Grandparents Day with our Nursery through Kinder 3 grandparents, and what a totally rad morning it was!
We went back to the 80’s with the music, the vibe, and all the vibrant colors. Our grandparents showed up in their best 80’s outfits, ready to dance and have fun, and they did not disappoint! The energy was contagious, and the smiles said it all!
After the party, they spent a heartwarming time with their grandchildren, bonding and making meaningful moments together in their classrooms.
We absolutely love having our grandparents on campus! Thank you for bringing your joy and your groovy moves to our school!

The IAB Cumbres Choir proudly participated in the Mexican National Anthem (Himno Nacional Mexicano) contest, showcasing their talent and discipline throughout the competition. We congratulate our choir for earning an impressive 3rd place, a result that reflects their hard work and dedication. We are truly proud of each member for their outstanding performance and for carrying our school’s spirit with honor. Special thanks to Teacher Jairo Cortés for his guidance and support during their preparation.




We are proud to share that our students from IAB Cumbres participated in the XXII Math Olympics Prepa UDEM Math Olympics Prepa UDEM, held on February 7th at Prepa UDEM San Pedro Prepa UDEM San Pedro. We congratulate all of our representatives—Itzel Espinoza Flores, Victoria Zurlo Rodríguez, Elías Vera Sánchez, Aldo Daniel Gil Hinojosa, José Adrián Valenzuela García, Daniel Gallardo Leal, Renata Lucía Hernández López, Angélica Jazlyn Pérez Medina, and Iram Santiago González Torres—for their dedication and effort.

Last Friday, our campus was filled with color, smiles, and great energy as students celebrated Valentine’s Day. Everyone came dressed for the occasion with festive colors and accessories, creating a cheerful atmosphere throughout the school. Even the IAB Phoenix joined in to make the day extra special!

This week we proudly recognized the group that read the most books during the first semester. Class 1A, guided by Ms Ana Lore Robles, achieved an outstanding total of 155 books. We congratulate all the students for their dedication, curiosity, and enthusiasm for reading. Building strong reading habits not only strengthens academic skills but also opens doors to new ideas, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Well done, 1A!
Last week at IAB Cumbres we celebrated Kindness Week as part of the Great Kindness Challenge, filled with shared gestures, thoughtful actions, and moments that made each day feel brighter. Students exchanged kindness bracelets as small reminders of the difference we can make when we choose to treat others with care. With this year’s theme, Powered by Kindness, we were reminded that even the smallest act can create a meaningful impact.

The Zone 94 Speech Contest was held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Colegio Multicultural, and we are proud to highlight the outstanding participation of our student Ana Camila Carlo González, who represented IAB Cumbres with confidence, dedication, and pride during the event.

Our Middle School team represented IAB Cumbres with pride at the Honor Guard Competition, demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and commitment throughout the event. We are proud of their participation and extend our appreciation to Ms. Mayra de León for her dedication, guidance, and continued support of our students.

This week, the PrepaTec Academic Talent Scholarship award ceremony took place, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate four IAB Cumbres students who were recognized for their academic excellence and dedication: Daniel Gallardo Leal, Renata Lucía Hernández López, Valeria Vázquez Solano, and Grace Isabella Lozano Castañeda. Two of our students attended the ceremony in person, representing our school, but this meaningful achievement belongs equally to all four and reflects their effort, consistency, and commitment. Congratulations to all of them!!!

Last week at IAB, our Book Fair filled the library with stories, curiosity, and imagination, all inspired by our theme, Reading Gives You Superpowers. As part of the Book Fair experience, parents were invited to join their children for shared reading moments and activities, and we closed the week with Book Character Day, when students came dressed as their favorite characters, bringing their favorite stories to life.

As part of the IAB Book Fair 2026, our MYP students took part in an enriching virtual talk with renowned Spanish author Eloy Moreno, best known for Invisible. He shared insights into the story, his motivations, and the ideas behind the book, making it a meaningful and inspiring experience. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with him and for a conversation that truly enriched our Book Fair week.
Last Friday, students and staff came to school in their warm pajamas and enjoyed a comfortable, relaxed day together. A simple change in routine that made the day feel fun and different, and set a relaxed tone for the day 🙂✨ Such a fun way to wrap up the week!
