The farewell ceremony for 9th graders at IAB Cumbres was full of emotion. As they walked through the school one last time, the entire school community came together to cheer them on in a heartfelt send-off full of good wishes. Accompanied by their families, the atmosphere was vibrant with the beat of a batucada, adding to the sense of celebration. An emotional moment came when the 8th graders performed a song they had composed, capturing their shared experiences. Teachers and students alike shared touching reflections on their journey together, making the farewell a deeply meaningful conclusion to their time at IAB Cumbres.
From June 6th to 13th, IAB Cumbres proudly hosted the Exhibition of the Formative Academies, showcasing the incredible talent and hard work of students across various disciplines. Students presented their projects to their families, demonstrating the skills and knowledge they gained in Violin, Keyboard, Musical Iniciation, Drums and Guitar, Theater, Tailoring, Cooking, Art, photography, TOEFL, and Robotics. The event celebrated the culmination of a year of creativity and learning, leaving parents and educators impressed with the students' achievements and growth. It was a memorable and inspiring conclusion to the academic year.
From June 10th to 13th, IAB Cumbres hosted a series of exhibitions for the Sports Academies, where students showcased their progress to their families. The events highlighted impressive demonstrations in Barre, Early Stimulation, Yoga, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, and Table Tennis. Families were thrilled to watch the students display their skills and dedication, celebrating the culmination of their hard work and growth in these diverse sports disciplines. It was an inspiring and energetic conclusion to the Sports Academies' activities.
Congratulations to our incredible 5th graders for their outstanding achievements showcased at the PYP exhibition! Kinder 2B at celebrated the arrival of spring with a joyful assembly. Our students performed in front of their classmates and parents, capturing the spirit of the season with songs and an energetic dance!
IABC's 1st grade parents received the ENI results from Psychologist Fabiola Villarreal, offering them a deeper understanding of their child's development and growth. The session provided valuable insights to help parents support their child's journey.
We are excited to share that our dance academy shined on stage at the BJS Dance Competition 2024! Our talented students made us proud by winning 2nd place in their category.

On Saturday, students from MYP II visited a dog shelter to donate dog food and spend time with rescued dogs. They cherished the afternoon, offering support to dogs in need of love and care. Stay tuned for our upcoming annual adoption and sterilization event!
Last week, our 8th and 9th grade students embarked on an enriching journey to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MARCO). They were treated to a guided tour through the captivating exhibitions of Leo Marz, Aurora Pellizzi and Dan Flavin. Throughout the visit, our students explored the artwork, sharing their insights and thoughts through guided questions and engaging activities. Such experiences not only foster critical thinking skills but also broaden our students' perspectives on the world around them.
Last Thursday, a group of students and their parents had the privilege of participating in the workshop: “Guía de Educación Sexual” lead by Andrea Alanis. This was a meaningful session, empowering us with knowledge and tools to keep our loved ones safe.
Today, our IABC students experienced the historic event of the solar eclipse, safely guided by our teachers to learn from this remarkable phenomenon. It was an educational and unforgettable experience for all!

Yesterday, parents gathered for the fourth session of "Amor Propio, Amor Familiar: Nutriendo el corazón y la mente," diving deeper into Conscious Discipline. They explored ways to cultivate self-love and strengthen family connections, embracing valuable insights for nurturing their children's emotional well-being.
During Francophonie Week, our 8th and 9th graders delighted our Preschool, 1st and 2nd graders by reading beloved children's stories in French. It was a joy to see them embrace their favorite tales in a new language!
MYP students showcased their French language skills and cultural insights to parents in our "Francophonie Week 2024". From presentations on diverse topics to sharing the richness of Francophone countries, it was a celebration of learning and cultural exchange.
Sebastien Essomba and Vladimir Stéphane Jean-Baptiste brought the magic of music to our MYP students during "Francophonie Week 2024." Through a vibrant musical presentation, students explored diverse instruments and their cultural roots, singing together and enjoying melodies from places like Morocco, and Haiti.
Last Friday, IABC hosted a scavenger hunt where students from all grades had a blast searching for eggshells and celebrating the arrival of spring with confetti fun!
"Ready, Set... Run!" event at IAB Campus Cumbres was a blast! Our N1-K2 students impressed us with their athletic skills, joined by their teachers, parents, and family. The Color Run brought an exciting element to the celebration, and friendly soccer matches among the parents rounded off a day full of enjoyment and togetherness.
